A.I.Solutions (AIS) was founded in 2011 as an independent supplier of laboratory equipment. AIS, established its head office in the historic market town of Olney, Buckinghamshire and now has several remote office locations around the United Kingdom. With its central location and remote offices AIS is able to supply a fast and efficient service to new and existing customers around the country. Our existing customer base extends across the research and clinical fields from renowned universities to well recognised hospitals across the UK.

AIS, is divided into two distinct divisions, histology and microscopy, offering a wealth of experience gained from many years combined knowledge working in laboratory’s and for laboratory suppliers.

AIS, brings together a complete range of histology products under one supplier, from tissue preparation to diagnosis. Histology solutions are tailored to fit the requirements of the end user from our range of new equipment to expertly reconditioned items.

Austin Lindley – Director

Austin completed his MSc in 2001 and went on to work in both academic and industrial research in Oxford and Cambridge. After leaving academia Austin joined Leica Microsystems in 2004 and worked in both the Research and Clinical divisions. Austin went on to leave Leica Microsystems and started his own business, founding AISolutions in 2011. Austin now lives with his partner and two dogs in the historic market town of Olney Buckinghamshire.

Simon Barlow – Histology Sales Manager

Simon joined AISolutions in 2012 after leaving Leica Biosystems and brings a wealth of Histology experience to the business. After studying molecular cellular biology at the University of Huddersfield, Simon pursued a career in histopathology within the NHS. After leaving the NHS Simon joined Leica Microsystems working for the Histology sales division and later moving to Vision Biosystems and finally Leica Biosystems. Living with his young family in Leicestershire, Simon enjoys cricket and rugby and is an avid Tigers fan.

James Cooke – Microscopy Sales Consultant

James completed his PhD in 2004 going on to work at CRUK-London, the MRC-Cambridge and the Department of Medicine Cambridge. During this time James accrued a working knowledge in a variety of scientific disciplines and applications. James brings this experience to the microscopy division of AISolutions, joining early 2013. Living with his wife in Cambridgeshire, James manages the microscopy and imaging business in the Cambridge area.
